Follow these 4 steps in order. You will need accounts for: Claude.
Step 1: Feed the URL
- Create a simple form or sheet 'Landing Pages' where you paste a URL, the page's goal (signup/purchase), and the audience.
- The workflow fetches the page HTML and extracts main copy (headline, subhead, CTAs, body).
- Strip navigation and boilerplate before analysis.
- Test on one of your live pages and confirm extraction looks right.
Watch out: JS-rendered pages may yield empty text — if so, use the rendered HTML via a headless browser step or paste the copy manually.
Step 2: Add the rewrite prompt
- Build: 'Score this landing page's copy for clarity, benefit-focus, and CTA strength. Then rewrite: headline, subhead, CTA, and one key paragraph. Return JSON: {score, issues[], rewritten{}, rationale}.'
- Seed with the page goal and audience so the rewrite is on-target.
- Add your brand voice constraints (no hype, concrete numbers).
- Paste with API key.
- Test on 2 pages.
Watch out: The audience + goal seed is what makes the rewrite usable — without it you get prettier words, not better conversion copy.
Step 3: Review side-by-side
- Save output to a Google Doc with a table: Before | After | Why.
- Add a 'test this' checklist: swap headline and CTA first, keep the rest.
- Verify no fabricated claims were introduced.
- Approve or iterate the prompt.
- Track which rewrites you actually ran A/B tests on.
Watch out: Before | After | Why is essential — an unexplained rewrite gets ignored; the rationale is what builds trust in the tool.
Step 4: Apply what works
- Manually swap the approved headline/CTA into your page editor (copy-paste).
- Set up an A/B test for the changed elements where traffic allows.
- Log results in your tracking sheet (page, version, metric).
- After 5 pages, review which patterns the AI gets right consistently.
- Update the prompt with those patterns.
Watch out: Copy swaps are cheap — but you must give each test enough traffic; a weak test tells you nothing.
