  • Posts a weekly radar digest to your channel

How it works

  1. Launch sources crawled
  2. New products detected
  3. Each launch summarized
  4. Weekly radar digest posted

What's included

  • Launch monitoring
  • Detection rules
  • Weekly digest

Set it up yourself

Follow these 4 steps in order. You will need accounts for: OpenCrawl.

Step 1: Add launch sources

  1. Sources: Product Hunt (API/feed), your niche's launch newsletters, indie-hackers lists.
  2. Add them to the crawl scope.
  3. Extract per launch: name, one-line, category, maker, link, launch date.
  4. Test the extraction.
  5. Store the sources.

Watch out: Product Hunt's API rate-limits — a crawl of the daily feed plus niche newsletters usually covers the ground without burning your quota.

Step 2: Set the detection rules

  1. Define what counts as 'in your niche': category match, keyword match, or maker-match (known players).
  2. Exclude launches outside the niche.
  3. Store the rules.
  4. Test on last week's launches.
  5. Refine weekly.

Watch out: Keyword matching on the one-line description catches most; add maker-blocklists to exclude adjacent-niche noise.

Step 3: Add the summary prompt

  1. Build: 'For each new launch, write 2 lines: what it is, who it's for, and why it matters for {our business}.'
  2. Keep it factual.
  3. Paste with API key.
  4. Test on a few launches.
  5. Check you can trust the summaries.

Watch out: 'Why it matters' should be grounded in the one-line + category — competitors, partners, or threats, but never invented.

Step 4: Schedule the digest

  1. Daily detection; weekly digest on Mondays.
  2. Post to your niche-watch channel.
  3. Include links to each launch.
  4. Flag any launch that's a direct competitor.
  5. Review the radar monthly.

Watch out: Flag direct competitors with a marker — the radar is business intelligence, and the competitor list should be at the top, not buried.
