Set it up yourself
Follow these 4 steps in order. You will need accounts for: OpenCrawl, Slack.
Step 1: Add job boards
- Choose boards: LinkedIn postings (via your outlet), niche job boards, or company career pages.
- Add the board URLs/feeds to the crawl scope.
- Test the crawl extracts job titles + companies.
- Store the source list.
- Keep scope realistic — a handful of boards is plenty.
Watch out: Job titles are the matching unit — 'data analyst' and 'analytics engineer' are different signals for different services; define which roles you care about.
Step 2: Set the match rules
- Define the trigger roles (the roles companies post when they need your service).
- Add exclusions (recruiter accounts, staffing agencies).
- Store the rules.
- Test the match on past postings.
- Refine weekly.
Watch out: Remove staffing agencies — they post the same role 50 times and would flood your lead feed.
Step 3: Add enrichment
- For each matched company, look up (from the posting URL or a lookup service): company size, industry, location.
- Store enrichment on the lead row.
- Flag companies matching your ICP.
- Test the enrichment path.
- Budget the lookup cost.
Watch out: Enrich before you post to Slack — a bare company name is a mediocre lead; company size makes the outreach line concrete.
Step 4: Connect Slack
- Create the #leads Slack channel + webhook.
- Post fresh leads: company, role, size, posting URL, and your suggested first line.
- Dedupe by posting URL + company.
- Daily count line.
- Test the posting flow.
Watch out: Dedupe by posting URL is essential — career pages re-post the same job, and without dedupe your channel fills with repeat leads.
