Frequently asked questions
Is my loan safe to use here?
Yes. This tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing you paste or open is sent to a server, and the page keeps no copy after you close it.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Every tool is fully usable without signing in. An account only adds saved favourites and reusable presets.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The interface is mobile-first with large touch targets and a stacked layout, so it works on phones and tablets as well as desktops.
Does this include fees and insurance?
No. The calculation covers principal and interest only. Arrangement fees, mortgage insurance, taxes and early-repayment charges are not included, so your actual payment may be higher.
How does the interest rate affect the total?
Interest is charged on the outstanding balance, so a higher rate both raises the monthly payment and slows the rate at which principal falls. Small rate changes have a large effect over long terms.
