About the JSON to CSV Converter

Paste an array of objects and download a CSV that opens cleanly in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. Nested objects are flattened with dot notation, and columns are unioned so no field silently disappears.

How to use it

  1. 1Paste a JSON arrayAn array of objects works best; a single object is treated as a one-row table.
  2. 2Check the detected columnsThe preview shows how nested keys were flattened and which columns will be exported.
  3. 3Download the CSVChoose a delimiter and download a UTF-8 file with properly escaped quotes.

Why use this json to csv converter?

  • Nothing leaves your device. The work happens in your browser tab. There is no upload endpoint in this app, so your files and text cannot be stored, logged or seen by us.
  • No upload wait. You skip the round trip to a server entirely. Results are limited by your own CPU, not by network speed or queue size.
  • Free, no account, no quotas. No sign-up wall, no watermark, no daily limit. Optional accounts only exist to save favourites and presets across devices.

Frequently asked questions

Is my data safe to use here?

Yes. This tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing you paste or open is sent to a server, and the page keeps no copy after you close it.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Every tool is fully usable without signing in. An account only adds saved favourites and reusable presets.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. The interface is mobile-first with large touch targets and a stacked layout, so it works on phones and tablets as well as desktops.

How are nested objects handled?

They are flattened into dotted column names, for example customer.address.city. Arrays of primitives are joined with a semicolon, and arrays of objects are serialised as compact JSON in a single cell.

Why do some rows have empty cells?

CSV is rectangular. When objects have different keys, the exporter unions all keys into one header row, so a row without that field is left blank rather than shifting other values.
